Description
The smaller, male Golden Silk orb weaver spider. Commonly called "banana spiders", these huge web weavers are scary to many. They usually don't readily bite, only if held or squeezed/pinched, the venom is mild, much weaker than a sting from a bee. I would still do the heebie jeebie dance if I accidentally walked into a web!
